About Fire Manufacturing Innovations
Fire Manufacturing Innovations (FMI) is the leader in emergency vehicle compartment management design and manufacturing. Founded in 2007 in Springfield, Ohio, our vision is to revolutionize the compartment management industry for first responders. We accomplish this through a combination of experience, leading edge equipment and partnerships with dozens of firms which allow us to act as a one stop shop for emergency vehicle upfitting. FMI joined the Innomotive Solutions Group of Companies (ISG) in 2021.
ISG has made significant investments in FMI including a facility expansion and numerous equipment and technological upgrades. The secured 10-acre site is equipped with multiple Trumpf lasers and CNC brake presses, welding stations, 3D printers and a comprehensive paint facility.
FMI also owns one of the largest Timesavers® machines in North America, featuring a 60” wide bed, allowing us to debur and edge finish aluminum and stainless-steel parts in a single pass. Our substantial investment in game changing technologies to configure, price and quote allows our designers to enter apparatus specifications along with a customer wish list in an interactive virtual environment. The instant output includes 3D images, a bill of material, weight distribution calculations and a quote - all in real time.
